Privacy Policy
Dress Sense is an AI outfit-suggestion app. You photograph clothes you own, the app labels them, and it suggests outfits based on the weather and the occasion. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, who it sends data to, and how to delete everything.
1. What we collect

Location, specifically
Location is optional. The app asks only when you tap the weather chip, and it never prompts on first launch. Your coordinates are passed straight to the weather provider to look up conditions; only the resulting city name and temperature are saved alongside a suggestion. The coordinates themselves are never written to our database.
What we never collect
- Payment card details — these go to Google Play or Apple, never to us
- Contacts, messages, call history, or your photo library beyond the images you pick
- Precise location history or background location
- Advertising identifiers — the app carries no ads and no ad tracking
2. Who we share data with
These are service providers that process data so the app can work. None of them receive your data for their own marketing.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or any other purpose outside the table above.
3. How your photos are protected
- Wardrobe photos live in a private storage bucket — there is no public link to them.
- Every request for an image is checked against the signed-in account; you can only ever load your own.
- On the web, image requests use a short-lived read-only token that expires after 15 minutes and cannot be used for anything but viewing images.
- Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never recoverable, by us or anyone else.
4. Deleting your data
You can also delete individual garments at any time from the Wardrobe screen; the photo is removed from storage along with the record.
If you cannot access the app, email the address at the bottom of this page from your registered address and we will delete the account within 30 days.
An active subscription is managed by Google Play or Apple, not by us. Deleting your account does not cancel it — cancel through your store account first.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your data — available directly in the app
- Withdraw consent for location by revoking the permission in your device settings

6. Children
Dress Sense is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
7. Data retention
We keep your data only while your account exists. When you delete your account, the records and the stored photos are erased at that moment. Backups that may briefly contain deleted data are rotated out within 30 days.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
